Cheese Straws 2

1 cup sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp dry mustard powder
1/3 cup unsalted margarine
1/2 pkg (2 oz) shredded cheddar
Few drops hot-popper sauce
1/2 tbs ice water
1 tsp sesame seeds

Into medium-size bowl sift together flour and mustard. With pastry blender or 2 knives used scissor fashion, cut in margarine and half the cheese until mixture resembles coarse crumbs, stir in hot pepper sauce. Stir in ice water until well blended. Shape dough into a ball.

Preheat oven to 350F. On lightly floured surface, roll out pastry 1/8 inch thick. Sprinkle with remaining cheese; fold dough in half and roll out again to a rectangle approximately 12 x 8 inches. Cut pastry in half lengthwise. Cut each piece into twenty four 1/2-inch pieces. Place strips on ungreased cookie sheets. Twist; sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm.

Makes about 4 dozen pieces.

May be stored in an air-tight container in refrigerator several days or frozen. Reheat at 300F.
