Sift dry ingredients and mix well after sifting. Blend in shortening with pastry blender. Pour milk and mix well until dough is formed into a ball, or until all flour is used and the bowl is left clean. Roll out on floured board to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into rounds. Bake at 450F for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 30 biscuits.
