Cornbread 2

1-1/2 cups cornmeal
1/2 cup flour
1 cup milk
1/4 cup melted fat or oil
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp baking powder
1 egg (beaten)

Mix cornmeal, flour baking powder & salt. Mix together milk & eggs, add fat. Add this to cornmeal mixture, stir lightly. Fill greased baking pan half full. Bake at 425F about 25 minutes or more.
