Rice Chicken Casserole

3 cups washed rice
6-8 seasoned chicken pieces,
3/4 to 1 teaspoon oregano
1 can mushroom soup
1 envelope dry onion soup
3 cans or 3 cups water, equal to amount of rice
White pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 300F. Lightly grease baking pan. Season chicken with oregano and white pepper. Spread rice in baking pan. Arrange seasoned chicken on top. You may use chicken breasts if you wish. In mixing bowl or directly on top of chicken, sprinkle dry soup, 3 cans water and 1 can mushroom soup. Cover and bake at 300F for 35-55 minutes. Uncover and brown if necessary for appearance of dish.

Serves 6-8.
