Broccoli Rice Casserole I
- 3/4 cup each chopped onions and celery
- 2 tbs butter or margarine
- 3 cups cooked rice
- 1 pkg (10 oz) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed
- 1 can (10-3/4 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 4 oz pasteurized process cheese spread
- 1/4 tsp each salt and ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce
- 1/2 cup (2 oz) grated Cheddar cheese
In large skillet cook onions and celery in butter until tender crisp. Add remaining ingredients except grated cheese. Spoon into buttered 1-1/2 to 2 quart baking dish. Bake at 350F for 35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly. Top with grated cheese. Bake 3 minutes longer, or until cheese melts.
Makes 6 servings.
