Raisin Cinnamon Doughnut

2 cups Sifted Flour
1/4 cup Sugar
1 tbs Baking Powder
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/3 cup Shortening
3/4 cup Milk
2/3 cup Chopped Raison
1/2 cup Melted Butter
1/4 cup Sugar
2 tsp Cinnamon

*** Sift together all dry ingredients. Cut in shortening with pastry cutter or two knives. Mixture should look like small balls. Stir in milk and raisins. Turn onto lightly floured board. Roll out to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into rounds with floured doughnut cutter. Arrange doughnuts on cookie sheets. Brush with melted butter. Bake 12 minutes in a 425F oven. Brush again with melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon to make cinnamon sugar. Roll doughnut in cinnamon sugar.

Yield: 1 Dozen
