Preheat oven to 350F. Combine cake mix, vegetable oil and water until well blended. Add pecans and chocolate chips.
Spray double bottom cookie sheets with Pam. Spoon full, rounded teaspoons of dough onto cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with back of spoon. Dough will spread while baking, so leave plenty of room between cookies.
Bake for 14-16 minutes. Remove from oven. Allow cookies to set -- approximately 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.
