Pecan Pie 1

8-inch pie shell
2 eggs
2/3 cups sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup corn syrup
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup pecans
12 pecan halves, for garnish

Preheat oven to 425F. Blend eggs, sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla. Add pecans; blend just enough to chop nuts coarsely. Pour into pie shell. Garnish with pecan halves. Bake for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350F. Bake 30 additional minutes or until top is lightly browned. Cool and cut into 6-8 wedges.
