Orange Cake

1/2 lb margarine
1-2/3 cups sugar
5 eggs
2 cups flour (sift before measuring)
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2/3 cup orange juice
1 tsp orange extract

Cream margarine until light in color; add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at time, beating thoroughly after each one. Sift flour with baking powder and salt. Add flour and orange juice alternately, ending with flour. Add extract. Pour in greased and floured bundt pan. Bake at 350F for 1 hour. Cool on rack 10 minutes; turn on cake plate (preferably one with lip to hold glaze).

Orange Glaze:
1/8 lb margarine
2/3 cups brown sugar (packed)
1/3 cup orange Juice

Bring ingredients of glaze to a boil just long enough to melt margarine and sugar. Punch cake with be pick (around top of cake). Pour glaze over cake and keep spooning it on cake until all has been absorbed in cake.
