Tender Ribs

5 pounds beef or pork ribs (long)
1 pound fresh beef, pork or venison sausage
2 medium onions
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup water

Preheat oven to 350F. Put ribs and sausage in 8 x l2 x 3 inch glass pan. Season to taste. Cut onions in slabs and lay on top of meat. Fill pan 1/4 full of water. Cover-dish tightly with aluminum foil. Put in oven for 3 hours at 350F. After three hours drain water out, then remove foil. Mix barbecue and water together in bowl. Pour mixture over top of meat. Put back in oven uncovered for 1 hour. Serve with rice and beans or with potatoes.
