Lemon Chicken in a Bag

1 whole fryer
1 large lemon
Carrots
2 to 4 onions, halved
Seasoning, to taste

Preheat oven to 450F. Season chicken inside and out. Place lemon that has been pierced several times with a knife inside cavity of chicken. Place on wire rack and put in baking pan. Surround chicken with vegetables.

Place pan in brown paper bag. Staple bag closed. Place in oven. Cook 1 hour at 450F, reduce heat to 350 and cook 1 hour longer. Remove; let stand 10 minutes. Open bag.
