Oysters

24 large fresh oysters in deep
1/2 pound butter (no margarine)
2 cups flour
1 cup oyster liquor
3 cups milk
1 cup oyster liquid
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons good sherry
1/2 teaspoon salt
Paprika to taste
2 cups cooked lobster meat cubed
24 thin slices American cheese

Preheat oven 350F. Bake large oysters in deep half of shell in medium oven until edges curl. Melt real butter. Blend flour to form a smooth paste. Slowly add the milk and oyster liquor or 1 cup oyster liquid, keeping mixture smooth. Add Worcestershire sauce, sherry, salt, pepper and paprika. Sauce must be thick Add 2 cups cooked lobster meat cubes. Divide sauce equally over too of each oyster, then end each with a thin slice of cheese, covering oyster wells. Bake in oven on medium until hot and cheese is melted, Sprinkle paprika on top.

Serve with favorite salad.
