French Fried Onions

4 lg white onions
1 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 cups self-rising flour
Salad oil
Salt

Cut onions into 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings. Combine milk and eggs; soak onion rings in milk-egg mixture. Dredge in flour again, and deep fry in oil heated to 365F. Drain on absorbent paper. Salt and serve immediately.

Yield 6 servings.
