Lemon Pecan Bread

1/2 cup soft margarine
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons grated lemon zest
2 cups flour
2-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans

2-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
3/4 cup powdered sugar.

Cream margarine and sugar. Add beaten eggs, lemon juice and zest. Mix well. Combine sifted dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Stir in pecans. Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350F for 50-55 minutes and top with glaze.

Combine lemon juice and powdered sugar.

Serves 10.
