Pumpkin Bread 2

2/3 cup shortening
2-2/3 cups sugar
4 eggs
One 1 lb can pumpkin
2/3 cup water
3-1/3 cups flour
2 tsp soda
1-1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
2/3 cups coarsely chopped nuts
2/3 cups raisins

Heat oven to 350F. Grease two 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pans. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin, and water. Blend in flour, soda, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir in raisins and nuts. Pour into pans. Bake about 70 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
