Night Before Casserole

12 slices white bread, crusts removed
6-8 tablespoons butter, softened
6 slices deluxe American cheese
6 slices baked ham
4 eggs, beaten
3 cups milk
Prepared mustard
Mushroom sauce:
1 can (10-3/4 ounces) cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1/3 cup milk
Dash Worcestershire sauce

Special Utensils. 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish

Preheat/bake Oven: 300F. Spread bread with butter. Place six slices in the bottom of a greased baking pan. Top each bread slice with a slice of cheese and ham. Brush with mustard. Place the remaining bread slices, buttered side up, over mustard. Beat eggs and milk; pour over all. Cover, refrigerate overnight. Bake for 1 hour. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Meanwhile, beat sauce ingredients and keep warm.

To serve garnish casserole with parsley an pass the mushroom sauce.

Serve as a casserole.
