Beefy Biscuit Casserole

2 lb ground beef (ground round or chuck)
1 large chopped onion
1 chopped green bell pepper
2 cans tomato sauce
2 tbs chili powder
3/4 tsp garlic salt
1 can biscuits
1-1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1egg, beaten

Brown beef, onion and pepper. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder and garlic salt. Simmer. Separate dough into 10 biscuits, pull apart in two layers. Press one layer in bottom of ungreased casserole dish.

Combine 1/2 cup cheese, sour cream and egg, Add to meat mixture. Spoon onto dough. Arrange remaining layer of biscuits on top. Sprinkle with remaining cup cheese. Bake 25-30 minutes at 375F until biscuits are brown.
