Butter Cream Frosting

1 lb Powdered Sugar
1/4 lb Soft Butter / Margarine
1/8 tsp Salt
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
3-4 tbs Milk

*** Cream one-third of sugar with butter and salt in large bowl. Blend in extract, 2 tbs milk and remaining sugar into mixture. Gradually stir remaining milk into frosting until desired spreading consistency is reached.

YIELD: Frosting for two 9 inch round layers or 26 cupcakes

NOTE: To make more generous frosting, increase ingredients by 1/4

NOTE: To color frosting, blend approximately 8-10 drops of red food color.
