*** Make Cream Puff Batter recipe. You can fill puffs with following filling or cream pudding recipes. In saucepan, combine sugar, flour and salt. Gradually add in milk. Cook stirring constantly until the mixture thickens (about 5 minutes). Add egg yolks and cook for 3 more minutes but do not boil. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Chill. Fold in whipped cream.
Yield: Three cups or enough to fill 36 cream puffs.
Fill cream puffs with filling and sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving.
