Lemon Ice Box Pie

One 8 inch Baked and Cooled Pie Crust
or
One 8 inch Crumb Pie Crust
1 Can Condensed Milk
1/2 cup Juice of Lemon
1 tsp Grated Peel of Lemon
2 Yolks of Eggs
2 Whites of Eggs
1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar
1/4 cup Sugar

*** In medium size bowl combine; lemon juice and peel; blend in egg yolks. Turn into cooled crust.

***Meringue
In small size bowl, beat whites with cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually beat in sugar until stiff peaks form when beater is raised. Spread over filling; seal to edge of crust. Bake in slow 325F oven 12 to 15 minutes or until meringue is golden brown. Chill.
