Pecan Cake Filling

1-1/2 cups Sugar
3/4 cup Evaporated Milk
4 cups Ground Pecans (Measure Before Grinding)
3/4 cup Butter
2 tsp Vanilla Extract

*** Cook sugar and evaporated milk until it begins to thicken (about 5 minutes. Add ground pecans, butter and vanilla extract. Cook for approximately 12 minutes more.

*** NOTE: You may use large can and 1 small can of evaporated milk.

*** You may also add more or less pecans to make the filling of spreading consistency.
