*** Soften cream cheese and butter in a large bowl. Beat with electric mixer. Add brown sugar, salt and almond extract. Mix till well blended. Add flour to mixture and stir till dough forms a ball. Knead in bowl or on floured surface for 1-2 minutes (additional flour may be necessary) till smooth and not sticky. Cut out circles of dough to fit into tart shells. Press dough into metal tart pans. Bake in a 350F oven for 10-15 minutes. Cool and fill with a variety of cream, pudding or fruit filling.
