Chocolate Pound Cake 2

1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cup sugar
5 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 325F. Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or 12 cup bundt pan. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. All alternately with milk to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Spoon butter into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn out onto wire rack and cool completely.
