Utensils: waxed paper, microwave oven, 3 quart microwave bowl, wooden spoon.
Melt butter in microwave bowl. Add light brown sugar, sugar, evaporated milk and pecans. Stir until blended. Cook on high for 4 minutes, stirring gently. Cook 4 more minutes and stir gently. Cook 4 more minutes.
Remove from microwave oven and place on protected counter top. Add vanilla and stir with wooden spoon until it start to thicken. Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let cool, about 10 minutes. Eat by itself or over vanilla ice cream.
