Beat cream cheese until smooth. In separate bowl, beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Fold in sugar and vanilla. Fold cream cheese into whipping cream until blended well. Cover and chill. Mix cake as directed on box. Preheat waffle iron. Pour 3/4 cup batter on waffle iron. Cook approximately 2 to 3 minutes until done. Repeat with remaining batter. Makes 6 to 8 waffles. Let cool. In double boiler on low heat melt chocolate chips. Keep warm. Remove cream mixture from ice box. Put one waffle on cake plate. Spread generous amount of cream mixture on waffle. Repeat until all waffles have been done, stacking one on top of the other. Frost top waffle also. Fill frosting funnel with mixture. Decorate top edge by putting single edge around top edge of the waffle. Very gently pour pie filling in the center of cake.
Spread gently to the edge of cake. Take teaspoon and drizzle melted chocolate over top edge and down the side. Approximately 1-inch apart. Slice and serve with favorite beverage. Will look like a basket.
