Butter Nut Chewies

2 eggs
2 cups light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup of butter flavor Crisco, melted
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of finely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350F.

Grease a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan with butter flavor Crisco. Beat the eggs until light and foamy in large bowl with electric mixer. Beat in sugar, vanilla and Crisco until creamy. Combine the flour with the baking powder and salt. Add to the egg mixture. Mix at low speed until blended. Stir in pecans at low speed. Mixture will be stiff. Spread evenly in prepared pan, Bake in oven at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is light brown.
