Chocolate Coconut Crunchers

1 package German chocolate cake mix
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup coconut
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup crushed corn flakes or other cereal flakes
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup (6-ounce package) semisweet chocolate chips
1-2 tablespoons sugar

Preheat oven 350F. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, margarine and eggs. Mix well. Add coconut, walnuts, corn flakes, rolled oats and chocolate chips, mix well. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten with glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350F for 8-12 minutes or until cookie is set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets.

Makes 4-5 dozen cookies.
