Brownies 3

5 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate
1/8 lb butter
2 cups white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
5 drops of almond extract
2 cups flour
1-1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1-1/2 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Karo syrup

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, microwave Bakers' chocolate and butter on high for 2 minutes. Stir chocolate and butter until completely melted. Break up chocolate with fork if necessary. Add both sugars and mix with electric mixer on medium for 4 minutes. Make sure brown sugar lumps and broken up. In a small bowl, add eggs, vanilla, almond extract, Scramble mixture, then pour into chocolate mixture. Mix on medium for 1/12 minutes.

With a large spoon, stir in flour, then add walnuts and chocolate chips. Bake 40 minutes at 350F. In two greased 8-3/8 x 5-3/8 x 1 inch roll pan. Fill roll pans up to the top (level). Place roll pans on a cookie sheet before placing in oven.

Let brownies cool for 15 minutes, then brush a generous amount of clear Karo syrup on top of warm brownies. Let cool completely before cutting.
