Persimmon or Pumpkin Loaf

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 cup persimmon or pumpkin pulp
1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
2 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 325F. Sift together flour and baking soda. Cream margarine and sugar in separate bowl. Add eggs. Combine mixtures, Add persimmon or pumpkin pulp and nuts. Grease and flour 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 x 2-1/2 inch bread pan. Bake 1 hour. May be served with butter or iced.
