Fig Cookies 2

1 stick butter (1/4 lb)
1-1/2 Cups sugar
2 eggs, beaten
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup figs, mashed

Preheat oven to 375F. Cream together butter, sugar and eggs. Sift together flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Combine two mixtures. Add vanilla and figs. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 15 minutes.
