Pie Dough

1/4 lb plus 1 pat of butter, at room temperature
4 tablespoons sugar
1 egg
1-1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Filling:
1 large or 2 small apples
1-1/3 cups sour cream
1 egg
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cinnamon (optional)

Preheat oven to 475F. Mix butter and sugar until soft and creamy. Add the egg, flour and baking powder. Mix until smooth. Spread dough evenly on a greased pan. Slice apples thinly Neatly arrange over the dough. At this point, cinnamon may be sprinkled over the apples.

In a separate dish, mix sour cream with egg, vanilla and sugar and pour it over apples evenly Bake in 475F oven. This dish cooks very fast and must be watched closely. Cook approximately 10 to 15 minutes or until it turns golden brown. Remove immediately and enjoy.

Serves 8 to 10.
