Short Cut Red Velvet Cake

Cake:
1 box Pillsbury white cake
2 eggs
1 lb real butter
1-1/2 cups buttermilk
1 ounce red food color
1 teaspoon butter extract
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flour
Frosting:
1 can Betty Crocker Amaretto Frosting
4 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter extract

To prepare cake preheat oven to 350F. Soften butter. Grease and flour pan. Mix all cake ingredients at low speed oven with hand mixer 30 seconds. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake 45-55 minutes or until done.

To prepare icing, in a separate bowl combine Betty Crocker Amaretto Frosting with powdered sugar and butter extract. Spread on cake. Tastes better next day Slice at angle.

Serves 15 or 16.
