Apple Strudel Cheese Pie

16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 or 5 tart apples, peeled and sliced, tossed with cinnamon and sugar
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Topping:
5 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Blend the cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla until smooth. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Top with apple slices. Mix topping ingredients together until crumbled. Sprinkle apple slices with topping. Bake at 450F for 10 minutes. reduce heat to 350F and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer.
