Cantaloupe Ice Cream

2 cups cantaloupe
1 cup sugar
2/3 cup water
1-1/2 cups heavy cream, whipped

In a blender or food processor, chop the cantaloupe until smooth. In a small sauce pan cook the sugar with the water for 5 minutes over medium-low heat. Add the syrup to the melon and mix well. Let cool. Fold in the whipped cream. Freeze in an ice cream maker.
