Cream Cheese Pound Cake 1

1-1/2 cups butter, softened (real butter gives this cake a better flavor)
One 8 oz pkg cream cheese
3 cups sugar
6 large eggs
1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all purpose flour
1/8 tsp salt
1 tsp butter flavoring

Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with electric mixer two minutes until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears. Add vanilla and butter flavoring. Mix well. Combine flour and salt gradually add to butter mixture Beat on low speed just blended after each addition.

Pour into greased and floured 10 inch tube pan.

Fill a two cup oven proof measuring cup with water, place in oven with tube pan

Bake at 300F for 1 hour, 30 minutes, until toothpick comes out clean.

Cool In pan on wire rack 15 Minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely on wire rack.
