Fresh Strawberry Pie 2

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 tbs cornstarch
1 small pkg strawberry gelatin
1 pint fresh strawberries
One 12 oz whipped topping
One 8 inch baked pie shell

Dissolve sugar, water, cornstarch. Heat until thickened. Take off heat. Stir in gelatin until dissolved. Let cool. In separate bowl, slice strawberries. When gelatin mixture is cooled add strawberries. Place strawberries and gelatin mixture in cooled baked pie crust. Top with whipped topping.
