Heart Smart Bread Pudding

6 slices raisin bread
1 egg
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 cups nonfat milk
1 tbs vanilla

Slice bread into small cubes. Place in mixing bowl. Beat egg and sugar together to blend Add milk and vanilla; blend well and stir into bread mixture. Pour bread mixture into light-greased 1-quart baking dish. Bake, uncovered, in 325F oven about 45 to 50 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm. Top with fresh berries, if desired.

Makes 6 servings.
