Tomato Soup

1 can tomatoes
1 onion, medium
1 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp butter
1 pint simmered milk
1 tbsp. flour
Pinch of soda, salt and red pepper

Cook the tomatoes and onion in a double boiler with seasonings until they are thoroughly done. Saute butter and flour. Add to mixture. In a separate pot, bring the milk to a boil and combine with the first mixture. Serve hot.
