Okra Gumbo 1

Crabs and shrimp
2-3 tbs flour
2-3 tbs shortening
2 large chopped onions; shallots
2-3 pods of garlic
1 pkg frozen okra
6-8 oz can tomato sauce
Salt and pepper
6 cups water with parsley, bay leaf, thyme or other seasoning desired
1 pkg gumbo mix

Combine shortening and flour in frying pan until well done. Add such ingredients as okra and garlic and fry until well mixed. Add salt and pepper and sauce, stirring freely, along with gumbo mix, crabs and shrimp to 5-7 cups of water. Mix in frying pan or skillet. After boiling, cook slowly floret approximately one hour.
