Seafood Vegetable Rice Medley

1/2 pound medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
2 tbs butter or margarine
1/2 pound bay scallops
Freshly ground white pepper
1-2/3 cups water
1 pkg (5.2 oz) Uncle Ben's Country Inn Brand Vegetable Rice Medley
1 cup fresh asparagus pieces (1-inch lengths)

Cook shrimp in butter in medium skillet over medium heat until cooked through, about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from skillet. Add scallops; cook just until done, about 1 minute. Remove from skillet. Pour off any remaining liquid. Sprinkle shrimp and scallops with white pepper. Set aside. Combine water and contents of all three packets in skillet. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Stir in asparagus. Continue simmering covered until all water is absorbed, about 5 minutes. Stir in shrimp and scallops; heat through,
