Red Beans and Rice 7

16 oz Pack of Red Beans (or Kidney Beans)
14 oz Pack Turkey or Smoked Sausage
1 Medium Chopped Onion
1/2 Medium Bell Pepper
5 cups Water
Seasoned Salt
Black Pepper
Red Pepper

Rinse red beans in a large pot. Drain. Cover beans with an inch or two of water. Bring beans to a boil until almost soft, stirring occasionally. Drain water from beans. Set aside.

Slice sausage into 1/2 inch thick pieces. Put 5 cups of water into pot of beans. Add sausage, onions, bell pepper and seasoning to taste.

Cook on medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve over cooked rice.
