Easy Lasagna

1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound sausage
One 30-ounce jar spaghetti sauce
1/2 cup water
Box lasagna noodles, uncooked
One 15-ounce package ricotta cheese
1 large egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
Sliced mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Herbs to taste

Crumble beef and sausage into microwave-safe colander; place in a 9-inch pie plate, and cover with waxed paper Microwave on high 3 to 5 minutes or until meat is no longer pink, stirring after 1-1/2 minutes. Drain well. May use range top if microwave is not available. Combine spaghetti sauce and water. Spread 1/2 cup of sauce in a lightly greased 11 x 7 x l-1/2 inch baking dish. Arrange a layer of uncooked lasagna noodles on sauce. Combine ricotta cheese egg and pepper; spread enough to cover over noodles. Layer with mozzarella cheese, sauce and meat. Repeat layers. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Fold back small corner to allow steam to escape.

Microwave at MEDIUM 30-40 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan and bake uncovered for 10 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
