Pork and Vegetable Stew

1 pound pork fingers, cut into 1 inch cubes
Oil to cover pot bottom
Flour in bag to shake pork in
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
1/2 pound carrots, cut in 1 inch lengths
2-3 cups of water
1 pound turnips cut in 1 inch cubes
1/2 cup green onions, chopped

Season meat and set aside. Heat oil in pot. Put flour in bag and shake pork. Drop in hot oil to brown. When brown, spoon out excess oil, (not brown part). Saute onions, bell peppers, and celery until wilted, then add 2-3 cups of water and carrots. Cook for 40-45 minutes. Add water as needed. Check to see if tender. Add turnips. Cook until tender. Cut fire, then add green onions. Season to taste.
