Cheddar and Ham Strata

12 slices bread
2 cups cut-up fully cooked Smoked ham
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 bunch green onions with tops sliced
2 cups low fat milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon red pepper sauce
1/4 teaspoon paprika
6 eggs

Trim crusts from bread. Arrange 6 slices bread in baking dish. Layer ham, cheese, onion or bread in dish. Cut remaining bread diagonally into halves. Arrange on onions. Beat milk, mustard, pepper sauce, eggs until smooth. Pour evenly over bread. Sprinkle with paprika. Bake right away or cover and refrigerate for 24 hours. Put in oven uncovered until center is set and bread Is golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
