Effortless Lasagna

1 pound ground beef
2 cloves garlic, minced
One 32-ounce jar spaghetti sauce
3/4 cup water
15-ounce carton ricotta cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 egg
8 ounces lasagna noodles, uncooked
One 16-ounce package mozzarella cheese, sliced
1/2 cup Parmesan (optional

Preheat oven to 350 F. Brown and drain beef and garlic. Return to skillet. Add spaghetti sauce and water. Cook on medium heat until bubbly. Let simmer on low 5 minutes. Meanwhile, in bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, oregano and egg. Stir until smooth. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Pour 1-1/2 cups sauce into dish. Spread onto bottom. Top with half of the uncooked noodles, then half of the ricotta cheese mixture and half the mozzarella. Repeat with noodles, ricotta and mozzarella. Top with remaining sauce and sprinkle with Parmesan. Cover and chill overnight. Remove all and bake in preheated 350F oven.
