Burgers

2 pounds ground meat
1 cup Italian bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 cup green scallions, finely chopped
3-1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Preheat oven to 375 F. In large bowl, place ground meat. Mix in eggs, then scallions, then bread crumbs and sauce. Add salt and pepper; mix well. Shape into patties to desired size. Bake in glass pan, nipping only once. Cover with foil while cooking. Drain fat only once, or place dripping pan in glass pan. Toast burger, buns. Add Swiss or American cheese and lettuce, as desired.
