Sweet and Sour Fried Chicken

1/2 chicken, cut in pieces
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 medium yellow onion, sliced
1 No. 303 can chicken broth
1/2 cup sauerkraut, juice squeezed out
1-1/2 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
Dash or two of hot Tabasco Sauce

Fry chicken in oil in medium large frying pan. When done, remove meat from bone and set aside. Pour all but 2 tablespoons of oil out of pan and saute onion over reduced heat. Add chicken broth, raise heat and bring to boil. Add sauerkraut. Cook 5 minutes then add remaining ingredients including the deboned chicken. Cover pan, reduce heat and cook until most of liquid is absorbed, about 30 to 45 minutes.
