Tamale Mush

1-/2 pounds lean ground beef
2 tablespoons cumin
3/4 cup yellow corn meal
One 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 large onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup celery, chopped
One 16-ounce can corn, drained (optional)
5 slices Velveeta cheese
Salt and cayenne red pepper to taste
1-1/2 cps water

Preheat oven to 375F. In a medium Magnolite pot, brown ground beef Add cumin, tomato sauce, onion and celery. Cook for 15 minutes on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Add corn if desired. In a separate bowl, mix 3/4 cup corn meal with 1-1/2 cups water. Add corn meal mixture to pot and stir. Cook 30 minutes on medium heat, stirring often. Cover pot so corn meal becomes tender. Remove from heat and pour "mush" into a baking dish. Place cheese on top and bake for 15 minutes or until cheese is slightly golden on top.
