Chili 4

1-1/2 pounds coarse ground meat
1 large green pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
3 tbs chili powder
One 14-1/2 oz can peeled tomatoes
1 can small tomatoes
1/2 cup water
One 16 oz can red kidney beans (drained)

In large heavy pot over high heat cook beat, green peppers, onions, stirring frequently until beef is browned, about 15 minutes. Stir in chili powder. Cook, stirring for 1 minutes. Drain tomatoes, reserve liquid. Chop tomatoes, add tomatoes and liquid to beef mixture. Heat to a boil. Cover, reduce head and simmer 45 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in beans, cover and simmer 15 minutes longer. Skim fat before serving.
