2 tbs shortening
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup chopped onion
1 tbs chili powder
1 cup grated cheese
1 tsp garlic salt
One 8 oz pkg. fine noodles or egg noodles
1 cup water
One 10-1/2 oz can tomato soup
One 10-1/2 oz can mushroom soup

Heat shortening on 200F. Add ground beef, pepper and onion. Cook until brown at 350F. Add chili powder and garlic salt. Sprinkle noodles on top and add water. Mix together tomato and mushroom soup and pour over meat mixture. Cover and bring to a steam. Turn heat to 220F and cook for 30 minutes. Sprinkle grated cheese over top and continue to cook for another five minutes.

Yield: 6 servings.
